Reaching new heights together – from a Fellowship to a Lifelong Network

The objectives of a fellowship are to create an environment that attracts entrepreneurs that wants to grow there business, create network opportunities and to put UWC on the map with regards to empowerment and reaching new heights in an engaged university. To qualify as a Fellow you would need to successfully graduate from a UWC Entrepreneurship short course.

Fellows have the opportunity to enhance their skills, knowledge, and experience through peer-to-peer learning, workshops, and contact with eminent persons. Fellows embark on a growth –wheel exercise that will identify your gaps specific to your business. A Personal Development Plan will then be devised for your growth and as a Fellow you will then embark on a yearlong programme at UWC.

Fellows take part in activities while performing their full-time professional responsibilities. The Fellows attend workshops, and should be available for peer consulting, exchange and field service opportunities, and contribute to the advancing of knowledge in the development field. The Fellows will also have opportunities to connect and collaborate with other distinguished change makers in the development field aligned to their industry.

Fellows are provided with unique opportunities and experiences that are not typically available to any entrepreneur.


Peer Learning and Service for Senior Fellows

Fellows who then graduate after the yearlong engagement as a Senior Fellows will develop knowledge, skills and institutional capacity to engage viably and substantively in multi-stakeholder partnerships that address the systemic causes of poverty and promote sustainable social change and business growth.

Fellows sharpen their leadership skills, share knowledge of models and strategies and draw upon the experience of their peers to learn new competencies to take back to their organizations and to incoming Fellows.
